Deer Lakes senior Morgan Adams was selected to be a member of the All-Eastern Honors Choir in Hartford, CT this spring.

“This incredibly elite ensemble is comprised of the best of the best high school singers from 13 states,” Mr. Matthew Derby, who has taught Morgan in choir for six years, said. “This is a tremendous accomplishment and an honor never before bestowed on a Deer Lakes singer.”

Additionally, Morgan has his sights set on making All-State choir for the second straight year. He is already in District Choir along with 12 other Deer Lakes students, the most of any other school in Western Pennsylvania.

Students selected to District Choir, in addition to Morgan, are seniors Willow Racan, Elise Schaeffer, Peyton Moran, Lia DeForce-Petersen, and Marianna Vergerio, juniors Ava Angel, Anna Ritz, Pierce Hayostek, and Gavin Windows and sophomores Josie Farster, Anna Shaffer and Emily Wetzel.
